Its summer here in Denmark and exams are done, so its time to do another MOOC, this time its the connected learning MOOC (#clmooc) that i gonna dive into.
The first weeks, make cycle is transforming af how to guide into a “how to be me” guide. not an easy task for many and me neither. So instead of trying to make a guide, i decided to take a journey reflecting over how to be me instead.

On my twitter profile, I’m introducing myself as a digital hippie, but what is a digital hippie. Many joke me with I’m just getting stoned then watching Netflix or tv, but then i tell them i have neither of those they often look weird.
As an educational designer i look into new ways for children to learn with all kinds of technology, my eyes has recently been opened for the world of interactive design and children, doing the IDC2014 conference. I seen how many interaction designer make great stuff for the children, but only few do it with them. My brain works in a mysterious way, so i often comes up with many creative ideas that people can’t imagine there i get from, but it also tends to rethink the use of digital tools. I tend to think that digital tools have to great an impact on 1 way use in educational views, being the hippie i am, i often bring in low tech stuff to blend into the context with digital tools, i often say that the focus should be on the word tool, then talking about digital tools. We need to create through digital tools, not with them.

Being me, also means being one that has a foot/hand in everything, or at least according to my professors at the university. Being a creative mind, i always have some half done project laying around or getting into another grassroot project that have something to do with kids, play, learning and digital tools. I tend to think that adults forget to play, children do it all the time and then co-designing with kids, creating new things through play – Magic happens.

that is only a very small part of being me, but if we zoom totally out of my mind and just look at me, you will see a tall, barefooted, long haired, red bearded person, just going with the flow of life.
Therefore i call my self a digital hippie.
